Abstract

Machine learning-driven predictive maintenance has emerged as an important approach for improving the reliability, availability, and operational efficiency of enterprise infrastructure. Private cloud environments provide organizations with greater control over data, computing resources, security policies, and regulatory requirements, making them suitable platforms for deploying predictive maintenance systems involving sensitive operational information. This paper examines machine learning-driven predictive maintenance models designed to support secure and resilient enterprise operations across private clouds. The study considers how machine learning can analyze equipment telemetry, historical maintenance records, operational logs, environmental conditions, and failure indicators to identify abnormal behavior and predict potential equipment degradation before disruptive failures occur. Particular attention is given to architectural factors including distributed data processing, private-cloud orchestration, model training, real-time monitoring, cybersecurity, access control, encryption, fault tolerance, and model governance. The research methodology adopts a design-oriented and experimental approach involving data preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, comparative evaluation, security assessment, and private-cloud deployment simulation. Machine learning models are evaluated according to predictive accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, false-alarm rate, inference latency, computational overhead, and resilience under degraded operating conditions. The proposed framework integrates predictive analytics with secure infrastructure management to enable proactive maintenance decisions while protecting enterprise operational data. The study contributes an integrated methodological foundation for developing reliable, secure, and scalable predictive maintenance systems within private-cloud environments.
